Overview
Otter Products is currently recruiting for a Vice President, Digital Commerce to join our Sales organization. This role can be based at our Fort Collins, CO headquarters or work fully remote anywhere in the continguous United States.
As the Vice President, Digital Commerce, you will be responsible for developing and directing an overarching e-commerce strategy across all customer digital touchpoints, including online and mobile.
In this role you will own responsibility for the e-commerce P&L and assure consistent brand execution and optimized customer conversion on Otter Products' web properties to drive incremental sales and profit growth. You will possess extensive experience and expert understanding of e-commerce as well as managing transactional e-commerce sites. Beyond your role as the commercial leader for the e-commerce business, it will be imperative that you, as a key leader, play an integral role in the broader omni-channel business model.
As this is a people leader role, you will drive a culture of high performance and accountability, managing and developing your team to excel at the responsibilities of the eCommerce function.

Responsibilities
- Financial and Ecommerce Strategy and Vision
- Develop and execute the long-term ecommerce strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- Identify emerging trends and technologies in the ecommerce space to ensure a competitive advantage with a test and learn mindset.
- Establish clear KPIs and metrics to track and evaluate the effectiveness of ecommerce initiatives and digital marketing channels to ROI goals.
- Lead budget development and manage within guidelines.
- Build strategy and drives profitable growth through participation in Social Media and 3rd Party Marketplaces.
- Revenue Growth and Sales Optimization
- Drive the campaign calendar alongside marketing and product launches to ensure a consistent focus on new revenue growth.
- P&L management from revenue to media expenses including forecasting.
- Own the data and customer analytics setup to easily make data driven decisions to maximize LTV (Lifetime Value), product journeys, attribution modeling, and understand incrementality.
- Website Product Management and Optimization
- Oversee the design, functionality, and user experience of our DTC (Direct to Consumer) site to improve conversion rates.
- Collaborate with UX, Creative, and Marketing to enhance website performance and optimize user journeys.
- Conduct regular audits and analysis of website performance and identify and implement new technologies to enhance customer experience.
- Merchandising
- Lead the development of fully integrated operational and seasonal plans for promotions, advertising, merchandising, site content development in collaboration with the Marketing and Product teams.
- Utilize data and robust testing to develop strategies that have impact on driving results for the business.
- Ensure that e-commerce efforts support corporate brand positioning and product stories.
- Maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly site and product reporting.
- Create and maintain site content strategies that align with sales, margin, and merchandising strategies.
- Partner with Marketing and Product teams to ensure featured product represents site and brand strategies.
- Organizational Development
- Work collaboratively with key internal business partners, across all functional areas of the business, to ensure a consistent brand voice and positioning of Otter Products brand and product to the consumer.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor a high-performing ecommerce team fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Set performance goals, provide feedback, and ensure the team has the necessary resources to achieve objectives.
- Identify talent gaps, recruit top talent, and implement training and development programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Partnership and Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external vendors, agencies, and technology partners.
- Collaborate with vendors to enhance ecommerce capabilities, leveraging new technologies to drive innovation.
- Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure proper SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met.
- Knowledge and Relationships
- Direct on-going competitive analyses that track key competitors and identifies relevant strategies, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
- Remain up-to-date with industry trends/developments to enhance competitive positioning.
- Represent e-commerce at internal/external meetings and conferences, prepares and makes formal presentations, as needed.
- Support and maintain a positive safety culture by being an active leader in all safety program initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or greater is preferred. Preferred area of study in Marketing.
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience with a focus in merchandising/marketing at an E-Commerce retailer, E-Commerce sales or marketing at a major CPG company, or with an E-Commerce vendor technology company that supports CPG brands and retailers is required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a manager or director level role with direct reports is required.
- Experience using Salesforce is required including but not limited to possessing detailed knowledge and understanding of a modern architectural framework.

USD $190,000.00/Yr.
For US Based Roles Only - Compensation Range Maximum
USD $250,000.00/Yr.
