Who We Are Looking For
The Vice President of Cloud Infrastructure and Operations, Americas will oversee Provenir’s external and internal infrastructure. The successful candidate would be hands-on and experienced in managing a multi-cloud infrastructure, data centers, and internal IT at scale and complexity. The candidate will be able to transform, drive scale & operations efficiency, and enable future strategy for business growth. They will drive a 24x7 support organization, and interface with external customers and internal stakeholders globally.
Provenir manages our Americas customer bases, with multi-cloud (AWS, Google, Azure) infrastructure that spans 11 regions, 20 countries, over 120 Virtual Private Cloud, 900 subnets, 500 servers & database, 40+ TB data, and over 300 load balancers & NET gateway, and services over 100+ million annual transactions. Their team will, also, focus on internal IT and systems and will partner with product engineering to support tier 3 issues. You will coach and develop a strong team of support engineers in an agile environment built on modern technology and a multi-cloud cloud environment. This person in this role can work remotely.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee all of infrastructure management - data warehousing, production systems, business applications, databases, and cloud systems
- Oversee the health of our production environments through operational leadership of our external and cloud technology platforms
- Provide technical leadership to ensure all external systems have reliability and uptime appropriate to customers’ needs
- Analyze the technology we currently use for design, development and administration for efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with product teams during conceptual design to ensure what is built is operationally feasible within current infrastructure
- Design a wide area connectivity network infrastructure with an emphasis on filling remote access needs
- Collaborate with Risk and Audit with items relating to governance and regulatory oversight
- Lead Technical Operations team
- Lead the response to production issues
- Improve technical operations processes and monitoring to address bugs quickly
- Manage corporate IT environment and team to ensure we have best in class systems, security and equipment
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree Required; Masters or MBA a plus
- 10+ years of experience in software development, cloud architecture and/or technical operations with 10 years’ experience in leadership role
- Experience with best of breed infrastructure solutions, including proven experience with Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Understanding of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance
- Demonstrated experience managing a 24/7 response team
- Leadership experience with end-to-end information security practices, compliance requirements, data privacy, sovereignty and confidentiality practices, security testing and auditing, and rapid response procedures
- Knowledge of technical, operational and cultural structures required to scale teams in a high-growth environment
- Experience in the Fintech or Financial Services vertical highly desired
