From the beginning, the Chocolove brand has been unique – colorful, distinct, and designed to reflect the thank you letter Moley received that inspired the creation of the brand. Chocolove has been a recognized leader in chocolate quality, sustainability and flavor innovation for more than 25 years, and today offers chocolate bars, minibars, cups, bites, boxes, specialty holiday chocolates, and small-batch handmade chocolates in more than 60 flavors.

The Chocolove brand is nationally distributed in over 10,000 stores across natural/specialty and conventional retailers as well as sold online, including on Chocolove.com, Amazon, and more.

What You Will Do:

The Social Media and Affiliate Manager will strategically develop and expand Chocolove’s social media audience and channels to increase the company’s social/digital influence to build brand awareness and increase engagement. You will generate social/digital activity that supports business development and expands relationships. You will partner with internal departments to develop and execute overarching social/digital plans. You will be responsible for creating, curating, and publishing compelling social media content that aligns with our brand's image. You will also develop & manage both our influencer marketing and affiliate marketing programs by establishing relationships with affiliate partners, tracking performance, and optimizing the program for maximum ROI. This role reports to the VP of Marketing and is a remote position that can be performed anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned to the Marketing Vision to grow our audience, increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation. Develop and test new social media tactics and programs.
  • Content Creation and Curation: Create and curate high-quality, visually appealing content for various social media platforms. This includes writing and editing posts, creating visuals (images and videos), and sourcing or creating other multimedia content. Ideating, and creating quality content with ease is a significant portion of this position.
  • Community Management: Day-to-day community management across all current and future social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. This involves responding to comments, messages, and mentions, as well as fostering conversations, addressing inquiries or complaints, and building relationships with followers.
  • Social Media Advertising: Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns to reach specific target audiences, increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, or achieve other marketing objectives.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of social media efforts and make data-driven decisions.
  • Influencer Marketing: Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers or industry leaders to amplify the organization's social media presence and reach.
  • Affiliate Marketing: Develop & test affiliate marketing program, in partnership with the VP of Marketing and Director of Ecommerce.
  • Social Listening and Monitoring: Monitor social media platforms for mentions of Chocolove, our products, competitors, or industry trends.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Ecommerce, and PR to ensure social media efforts are aligned with broader business strategies.
  • Crisis Management: Be prepared to handle social media crises or negative situations effectively. Follow internal procedures to escalate any situations.

You understand the pulse of the ever-changing digital world and you’re eager to lead our brand to new heights through your passion, innovation, and expertise.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in social media management and affiliate marketing, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • CPG food or beverage industry experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Experience writing, shooting, editing, and crafting social-centric content in the form of (but not limited to) videos, photos, and graphics.
  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing, including tracking tools and networks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and the ability to interpret results to refine marketing strategies.
  • Creative with an eye for visual design.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple cross-functional projects
  • Experience with food styling/photography preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range of $75,000-$120,000 base salary + bonus potential
  • After 60 days of employment, full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, short & long term disability insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays

  • This benefit package has an estimated annual value of $9,500 depending on insurance selections
