Senior Accountant

With us, e-commerce brands reach new heights with expert operators and infrastructure.In alignment with unybrands values, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and reporting related to payroll, cash management, and accounts payable/receivable. This individual will support, as assigned, for unybrands overall accounting and reporting requirements.

‍Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review and reconcile the daily, monthly and annual accounting for designated accounting functions, including but not limited to, payroll, cash management, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Ensure strong internal controls, efficient workflow processes and adherence to corporate policies of all corporate services and functions performed within the Accounting Department.
• Assist in Annual Audit
• Review accounts payable and cash receipts for appropriate coding to the general ledger, authorization, and compliance with all unybrands policies and procedures.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and accruals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial controls and process improvements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Review monthly and annual department reporting to department directors and managers.
• General account reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules and work papers for annual financial audits of unybrands.
• Assist with annual and mid-year budget compilation.
• Monitor budget-to-actual performance on designated projects and operations and research variances from budget.
• Perform other duties as appropriate and as assigned.
  

A successful team member will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Senior Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP).
• Proficiency in financial accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
