- Advertising management, which optimizes the performance of our customers' campaigns to deliver higher sales and profits
- Inventory optimization, which utilizes forecasting based on organic and ad-driven sales to predict when inventory needs to be restocked

The Team

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Product Manager to join our growing team at Mayan. In this role, you will be responsible for driving product development, feature implementation, and ensuring customer satisfaction through data-driven decision-making and effective communication. You will work closely with the Director of Product, Design Leadership, Engineering Leads, Customer Success Lead, and Product Marketing Lead to deliver innovative solutions and continuously improve our product offerings.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional writing and research skills, and a deep understanding of customer needs. They will be comfortable with prioritizing tasks, creating user journey diagrams, and maintaining cross-functional communication. With a focus on collaboration and teamwork, the Product Manager will contribute to the successful delivery of product releases and drive the ongoing growth and success of Mayan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new product features and improvements
- Develop and maintain product documentation, including writing test cases and user guides
- Utilize data analysis and customer feedback to prioritize product enhancements and drive informed decision-making
- Create and maintain user journey diagrams or flowcharts to visualize and communicate product workflows
- Effectively communicate product updates, issues, and changes to both internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in troubleshooting product issues and provide recommendations for resolution
- Continuously research industry trends and competitor offerings to inform product strategy and innovation
- Develop a strong understanding of Mayan's customer base, their needs, and how our products can best serve them
- Participate in regular team meetings and actively contribute to the ongoing refinement of product management processes
- Drive the successful delivery of multiple product releases throughout the year, ensuring quality and meeting timelines
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- Proven experience in product management or a related field, preferably within the technology or e-commerce industry
- Strong understanding of product management fundamentals, including API functionality, data flow, and website operations
- Demonstrated ability to write and interpret test cases, ensuring thorough and effective product testing
- Exceptional customer empathy, with a focus on understanding user needs and incorporating feedback into product development
- Proficient in data interpretation and analysis to inform decision-making and drive product improvements
- Experience with different prioritization methods to manage competing demands and ensure timely delivery of product features
- Skilled in user journey diagramming or flow-charting to visualize and communicate product workflows
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive product documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders
- Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives around product features and benefits
- Proficiency in driving effective meetings, engaging participants, and fostering collaborative discussions
- Adept at asking the right questions to uncover insights and uncover potential opportunities for product development
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and best practices in software development
- Previous experience working with remote or distributed teams, demonstrating adaptability and strong collaboration skills
- Knowledge of the Amazon seller ecosystem and its unique challenges and opportunities
- A track record of successfully mentoring or coaching team members, promoting professional growth and development
