Marketplace Assistant (FT)

The Marketplace Assistant will implement and optimize MaryRuth's marketplace data collection and reporting processes, including monitoring and resolving back-end customer experience metrics on all marketplaces. This is an important role in the Marketplace Department, as general data and performance metrics are essential for company growth. The Marketplace Assistant is responsible for collecting performance data, back-end customer feedback, and providing assistance to the Marketplace Department with ongoing projects. This role will directly report to the Marketplace Director. This job requires a full-time (40 hr/wk), non-exempt hourly, paid, fully remote position. The compensation range for this role is $20-24/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers and analyzes data for the Marketplace Department.
  • Implements and optimizes Marketplace processes as directed by Marketplace leadership.
  • Assists with various Marketplace projects including new product launches, product content optimization, case creations, and inventory reimbursements/reconciliations.
  • Review customer feedback and marketplace health, updating processes as needed.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the mechanics of all backend tools, processes, and systems.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on marketplace metrics and sales.
  • Additional responsibilities and administrative duties as needed.
  • Some travel (<5%) may be required on an as needed basis, with advance notice provided to the employee.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in business, marketing, data sciences, or related field strongly preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in general E-commerce, specific online marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc) or equivalent, and online marketing.
  • Experience with buying and selling on eBay, Amazon, marketplace, etc. (Strongly preferred).
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Has exceptional attention to detail and the ability to plan strategically and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to create, analyze, and comprehend marketplace data and sales analytics for use in forecasting, production, and communication with others.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fluid, fast-paced team environment while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Proficient with GSuite, Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, plus the ability to quickly learn, and work with the new systems and software.
