The Role

Job Description: Junior Graphic Designer

We are looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join the best team in eCommerce! As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will play a central role in creating visually appealing and compelling designs across our digital platforms and marketing channels. Your exceptional organizational skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma will be instrumental in executing design projects efficiently and effectively, and lead to your growth within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate for Brand Identity and Project Requirements: Work closely with Ecommerce Operations, cross-functional teams, and all creative channels to understand project requirements and develop visually stunning graphics, illustrations, and layouts that contribute to a cohesive brand identity across various digital platforms. Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines in all design outputs.
  • Visual Asset Production: Create and optimize graphics and images for online use, ensuring high-quality and optimized files suitable for web and mobile platforms.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product management, UX/UI designers, and developers to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet business objectives. Clearly communicate design concepts, ideas, and timelines to stakeholders. Actively participate in brainstorming sessions while aligning creative decisions with the Brand Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Creative Ideation: Contribute innovative ideas and creative concepts for digital product experiences, considering user needs, design trends, and business goals.
  • File Organization: Maintain a well-organized file structure and adhere to version control best practices to ensure easy access and retrieval of design assets.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging design tools, and techniques to enhance design skills and contribute to the overall creative development of our digital products.
  • Growth and Participation: Display a hunger to grow within the company and actively participate in team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and design critiques to contribute to the improvement of design processes and the overall success of our digital products.

Ideal Profile

Requirements

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred, but not required. We value relevant experience and passion for the field equally. Demonstrated skills and a strong portfolio showcasing creativity and design expertise will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ecommerce experience is required.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio of your previous design work is required upon submission of your application. The portfolio should demonstrate your skills, creativity, and understanding of design principles. It should showcase a variety of design projects, highlighting your ability to create visually appealing and impactful designs for digital platforms.
  • Software Proficiency: Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) is essential. Proficiency in Figma is also required, as it will be a key tool for collaboration and design prototyping.
  • Design Skills: Strong conceptualization and visual communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Understanding of color theory, typography, layout, and composition principles.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and evolving design requirements while maintaining a high level of creativity and quality.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. We are looking for someone who can actively participate in brainstorming sessions while understanding that the Brand Mission, Vision, and Values govern creative decisions. The ability to articulate design concepts and ideas while aligning them with the brand's core principles is crucial.
