EDC Content Manager
Job Description
We are an Everyday Carry Product company specializing in minimalist products, headlined by our flagship product The Ridge Wallet. The Ridge Wallet started as a Kickstarter project in 2013 and is now in the hands and pockets of over 3 million people worldwide! We currently operate around the globe selling in the US, Canada, the UK, EU, and Australia on Shopify and through other channels such as Amazon and Wholesalers. We are looking for people interested in positions with tremendous growth potential, but which come with high expectations of work rate and quality of work. We are a fully remote company and are very excited to expand into the Eastern European market to continue to grow our team! We currently have a US-based team of just over 50 people! We currently employ over 60+ international contractors around the world! While this may seem like a lot of people, each department only ranges from 2 - 10 people, which opens up a lot of opportunities for growth and advancement. The Role
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Manage and coordinate all content for articles, including copy, images, and embedded social content.
- Collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, staff writers, graphic designer, and editorial assistants while operating independently to hit content goals.
- Use the EDC CMS and other content production tools like Trello, Slack, and Notion proficiently to produce, format, and publish content for the site.
- Conduct logistics planning and help fill out the editorial calendar.
- Act as a secondary editor and fact-checker to ensure the quality and accuracy of the content.
- Assist in sourcing images and coordinate follow-ups with writers. The ability to work with Photoshop or other tools for use in article production is a bonus.
- Ensure all content is delivered within set deadlines.
- Facilitate communication between SEO and staff writers to ensure streamlined content production.
Ideal Profile
- Experience in content management or a related role.
- Proficiency in using website CMS and other content production tools.
- Moderate experience with writing and editing, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with grammar and research tools, such as Grammarly.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and adhere to deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
- Knowledge of SEO practices would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with image sourcing and graphic design.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
