eCommerce Strategist
Job Description
Summary:
As a eCommerce Strategist, you should have a comprehensive understanding of how Amazon works, and experience with building, executing and managing products and ad campaigns on Amazon. You should have at least 3-6 years of experience being client facing, working on multiple accounts and campaigns at once, putting together performance reports, and working collaboratively with a variety of Account Managers, Strategists and Specialists on the team.
You should have a strong attention for detail, desire to drive long-term strategy for clients, and an eager willingness to learn from some of the best in the business. In addition to driving the strategic direction of certain ad campaigns, you will also assist with quality assurance, maintenance, and optimization on multiple accounts in collaboration with our team. Being able to meet tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects is a must for this position. We are growing fast and this is a great opportunity to help build and set strategy for our Amazon and marketplace clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report on performance and progress to clients and internal stakeholders along with bringing new ideas for a client’s long-term marketplace growth
- Manage new listing creation and content strategy for Amazon clients
- Train and develop new team members to grow Amazon and eCommerce capabilities
- Develop, execute, and manage multiple advertising campaigns, for multiple clients during any given week
- Build audience targeting plans and campaign structures
- Influence the creative direction of ad content and product listings through performance insights and best practices
- Track and monitor budgets across multiple platforms and clients
- Setup and troubleshoot conversion tracking across campaigns
- Identify areas of opportunity in a given campaign or market including utilizing cross-platform insights to expand audience targeting, improve creative, and A/B test
- Ensure projects are on track and client goals are being met
- Manage key relationships with stakeholders and business unit leads to assure we’re meeting our business requirements
- Cross-collaborate with other digital team members to identify on and off Amazon opportunities
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Vendor Central management
- 2+ years of experience in Amazon Advertising
- Thorough knowledge of Amazon Seller and Vendor best practices, including but not limited to:
- New listing copy creation and troubleshooting
- Bulk listing updates
- Fulfillment and Brand Registry troubleshooting
- A+ Content and Brand Store creation
- Purchase Order tracking and analysis
- Experience using and pulling insights from Brand Analytics/Amazon Retail Analytics
- Comfortable in a client-facing role with strong interpersonal skills and leading strategy workshops with clients
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to perform data analysis, including pivot tables and v-lookup functions, etc.
- Ability to audit and develop pricing and scope for new business and sales opportunities
- Self-starter with the ability to stay well-organized in a fast-paced, team environment
- High attention to detail (include the word “ROCKETSHIP” in your cover letter so we know you’re paying attention)
- Ability to multi-task and juggle a variety of priorities at once
- Ability to work independently but also collaboratively as part of a team with other strategists, account managers, and subject matter experts
