About the Role:
Lead a wide range of strategic and tactical conversion marketing initiatives using paid digital media to drive sales on brand.com and eRetail platforms, with a focus on efficiency and stronger ROI. Actively partner with agency and oversee their management of all lower funnel campaigns against planned budgets.
Key Responsibilities & Weight:
Brand.com 40%
- Lead the 'lower funnel' new customer acquisition and sales strategy together with associated tactical plans, from target setting to tracking and measurement
- Lead audience segmentation strategy, for prospecting and retargeting in collaboration with Marketing
- Own the channel optimization strategy and define targets and manage the yearly financial planning
- Oversee delivery of online campaigns across Programmatic Display, Paid Social, Paid Search, and Affiliate
- Identify and test new acquisition channels including platforms, such as Oath under the guidance of the Digital Marketing Director
- Develop creative briefs and own asset management; partner closely with Organic Social and Influencer teams to brief in and amplify UGC assets. Define and oversee the DCO strategy & implementation
- Lead the SEO-SEM integrated approach to maximize conversion
- Work with agency as well as internal teams to optimize feed for product-based marketing efforts (Shopping/PLA, Pmax, Catalog)
- Work directly with platform representatives to take advantage of new offerings, betas, and acquire ideas for building efficient scale and solicit performance data for program optimization
eRetail 20%
- Build and champion a culture of measurement and transparency for all OLAPLEX investments in eRetail media across all platforms including Amazon and Sephora
- Be a coach and go-to person for all account managers with a media and/or co-op budget, to uphold and strengthen OLAPLEX's interest, eliminate bidding against OLAPLEX and drive optimization of in-platform investments
Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring & Reporting 25%
- Monitor and own the optimizations of daily, weekly, monthly paid performance in close collaboration with ecommerce team
- Analyze and present the impact of paid media on sales in the monthly sales planning process with finance and ecommerce teams
- Lead the development and rollout of a digital performance media attribution model (e.g., DDA) using platforms such as GA, in order to drive channel synergies and optimization of performance media spends
- Complete recaps and reports, providing assessment, identifying opportunities and initiating recommendations / solutions for both existing and developmental programs
Evangelism 15%
- Be the in-house expert in digital paid media, sharing out learnings and best practices with broader teams. Share learnings throughout the organization and foster a collaborative test and learn environment
- Consistently educate broader teams and leadership on the roles and expected outcomes of each channel and how efforts drive new/repeat customers, higher AOV, conversion and revenue
About You:
- 5+ years of Performance/Digital Marketing experience, preferably with a brand that has DTC/ecommerce and wholesale distribution
- Beauty and/or Luxury experience is a plus
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate data into actionable recommendations
- Expertise in Programmatic Display, Paid Social & Paid Search required
- Proficient in paid media platforms (e.g., Ads Manager, Adwords) and Google Analytics (GA4 a plus)
- Familiar with Search, Shopping (PLA), Pmax, Advantage+, dynamic ads, Shops, and measurement studies (e.g., conversion lift)
- Strong knowledge of keyword bidding strategies, budget cap management, audience architecture and management, optimization tactics
- Required hands on experience of media tracking & web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, DoubleClick Campaign Manager, Lengow, Brightedge, Criteo, Criteo, TRIAD, Amazon Advertising
- Experience of tools such as CDP, Facebook Business Manager, DV360, Amazon DSP, would be preferred
- In-depth understanding of performance media, attribution models such as the data driven attribution models in Google Analytics
- Understanding of website conversion metrics including impressions, click-through rates, conversion rates
- Experience of implementing DCO preferred
- Experience testing and scaling new marketing channels/tactics
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and problem solve
- Willing to challenge status quo through rigorous testing and analysis
- Strong inclination for numbers with experience of budgeting and sales and response rate forecasting
- Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and influence cross functional departments and as well as present recommendations and insights to senior leadership
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge, Proficiency with MS Office, and Google Analytics
