eCommerce Strategic Accounts Manager

Job Description

The eCommerce Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for developing and leading the strategies necessary to achieve MasterBrand’s aggressive eCommerce growth plans with key online retailers. The position requires strong eCommerce and account management skills, strategic planning capabilities, digital marketing savvy, and the ability to operate with a general manager mindset. The selected candidate will be a key team member on the eCommerce team and will report directly to the Vice President, eCommerce.

The position will develop key online channels with a focus on account management, strategic planning, business development, digital shelf optimization, digital marketing, forecasting, and operational execution. The role will partner closely with MasterBrand’s content, operations, sales, and wider eCommerce teams to execute key programs and initiatives. The position will require sales and digital marketing leadership, financial acumen, customer interface skills, and strategic planning/execution capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated demand generation strategies to drive sales and increase share for MasterBrand with key eCommerce accounts. Grow existing business and exploit incremental market share opportunities to achieve/exceed annual financial targets.
  • Formulate and execute annual sales, marketing, and promotional strategies/plans for key customer accounts; focus on digital marketing, pricing/programming, online discoverability, content optimization, and online ratings & reviews.
  • Lead comprehensive analysis of business growth opportunities with large eCommerce accounts, potential avenues for share growth, and evaluate competitor and market dynamics / trends as input to strategic plans.
  • Lead the development and implementation of effective strategic business plans encompassing; brand messaging, benefits, and value proposition to large e-tailers key influencers and decision makers.
  • Develop influential relationships with key decision makers at key e-tailers and related channel partners. Provide leadership on account service needs for key e-tailers that occur on a daily basis to ensure timely execution and follow-up of all activities.
  • Develop relationships with key external agency and solution providers to ensure proper focus on MasterBrand’s business and priorities are executed on time to enhance consumer value and accelerate growth
  • Develop influential relationships and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in adjacent business units (Retail & Dealer Channels) and key shared services functions (content marketing, operations, finance, information technology, etc.).
  • Partner with the eCommerce operations leader to implement necessary operational capabilities to meet the needs of the eCommerce channel.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of MasterBrand’s online merchandising assets on key e-tailer sites including product descriptions, images, videos, bullet points, and technical documents.
  • Create and communicate a monthly performance and key metric scorecards for respective e-tailer accounts. Generate accurate forecast on a monthly basis and provide meaningful insights on customer and market performance to increase sales and share.
  • Coordinate and lead eCommerce-related operations and supply chain related initiatives for key e-tailer accounts. Track/manage e-tailer operational metrics and benchmarks including fill rates, operational efficiencies, and logistics execution.
  • Help build and cultivate MasterBrand’s knowledge, literacy and comfort with the e-Commerce channel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Customer management experience: Minimum of 5 years of related experience with responsibility for customer strategy and execution
  • eCommerce channel expertise: Demonstrated deep understanding of online/digital channels to include online pricing and promotions, digital marketing, and eCommerce fulfillment; minimum 3 years of experience within the eCommerce channel, including experience with Amazon or Wayfair; experience working with The Home Depot and/or Lowe’s eCommerce sites a plus
  • Project management capability: Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency and achieve timely, accurate results
  • Bias for action: Evidenced by a track record of taking decisions in to drive the interests of the business while still maintaining highest levels of rigor and compliance
  • Problem-solving capabilities: Evidenced by demonstrated experience finding workable solutions to complex problems and remove barriers in an environment with incomplete information and tight timelines
  • Business acumen: Demonstrated broad business perspectives, with proven ability to manage and measure work
  • Flexible: Must be flexible to maximize business opportunities as they arise
  • Analytical skills: Demonstrated ability to drive improvement of digital KPIs via a strong analytical mindset and previous ownership of analytical tasks and projects
  • Resilience: Demonstrated capability to maintain a positive attitude when faced with obstacles, volatility, or uncertainty and the willingness to develop alternative approaches to overcome them
  • Team oriented: Strong communication skills with proven success gaining cross-functional alignment, ability to influence to gain project/program support
  • Order management experience: Demonstrated experience in using an order management system, including EDI and portal orders a plus
  • Experience working with third-party digital marketing agencies and/or digital shelf service providers is a plus
