Who We’re Looking For - Reporting to the VP, Retail, we are seeking a Director of Retail Account Management. In this crucial role, you'll take charge of providing leadership to the sales team, cultivate productive and sustainable relationships with retail partners and identify and pursue white space opportunities for continuous sales growth across multiple categories and channels of trade. We're on the lookout for a candidate with extensive experience in managing accounts in the consumer goods field and solid leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets within existing partnerships
  • Analyze market trends and collaborate with cross-functional teams for cohesive strategies
  • Develop operational, inventory control, and brand (marketing) processes to flawlessly launch the MANSCAPED® brand within the brick-and mortar environment

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and inspire a team of account managers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Set clear goals, provide coaching, and ensure accountability for meeting objectives

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong partnerships with key retail customers, distributors, and partners
  • Understand customer needs, address concerns promptly, and manage customer relationships effectively
  • Act as the escalated point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction
  • Lead negotiations with retailers on contract terms, pricing, and promotions, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements

Sales Forecasting and Budgets:

  • Prepare and manage sales budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor sales performance against targets and implement strategies for profitability
  • Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including sales planning, forecasting, and performance tracking

Distribution and Channel Development:

  • Expand distribution networks domestically and internationally
  • Identify and develop new retail partnerships, including e-commerce and brick-and-mortar stores

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Analyze sales data and market trends for informed decision-making
  • Prepare regular sales reports and recommend adjustments to strategies

Product Knowledge and Training:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of retail products and services
  • Provide training and resources to ensure effective selling techniques
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Marketing and Product Development, to ensure cohesive business strategies
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in partnering with or working within major and widely recognized retailers, contributing to substantial business growth and strategic collaborations
  • Highly evolved leadership skills to develop and lead a high performing team while driving impactful work and business for MANSCAPED®
  • Proven track record of successful account management in the consumer goods industry, with a focus on retailers
  • Strong experience and knowledge of in store operations, marketing within a corporate environment and inventory control management
  • Adept at analyzing data, building and managing forecasts and discerning market trends
  • Possesses executive presence and professional demeanor
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills specifically with the ability to analyze information objectively, excel in problem-solving, and make decisions aligned with long-term goals
  • Demonstrates a track record of achieving sustained success by driving sales growth and consistently meeting targets over time, showcasing a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs
  • Experiences and proficient in navigating negotiation processes, contract management, and exhibits a strong grasp of financial principles
  • Sharp commercial awareness and business acumen, leveraging insights into market trends, competitor strategies, and industry dynamics to inform decision-making
  • Capability to implement change and drive improvement
  • Ability to work under intense pressure to within fixed timelines
  • Track record of maintaining a dedicated focus on customer needs and satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships built on trust and value
