Position Summary
The Director, National Accounts eCommerce will serve as a critical member of Constellation Brands’ Wine & Spirits organization and help accelerate the development of essential eCommerce & digital capabilities in partnership with our core National Accounts and distributors. The role will be responsible for building the eCommerce strategy across key retailers while leading, planning, and executing innovative digital & omnichannel tactics to help Constellation Wine & Spirits win within the emerging channel. The Director will own relationships with key counterparts at the Distributor and Retailer, while working in collaboration with key National Accounts sales, eCommerce & marketing leaders to accomplish set sales goals.
This individual will also play a significant role in defining how Constellation Wine & Spirits’ commercial organization and route-to-market are impacted by digital transformation and how Constellation can build robust responses and processes to changing consumers preferences & behaviors. The Director will report directly to the SVP, National Accounts; while working on several key strategic, highly visible projects across the organization (Shopper Marketing, Brand, Fine Wine & Craft Spirits, etc.).
Responsibilities
Sales
- Lead eCommerce strategy in partnership with Constellation customer teams, distributors, and key retailers to drive digital benefits of Constellation Wine & Spirits
- Define next-generation digital levers to accelerate Wine & Spirits sales and influence at major national retailers
- Develop, sell, and implement digital-first omnichannel promotional programs to core accounts in conjunction with Shopper Marketing, Brand, and Customer teams; Develop account/customer specific promotional calendar to drive business priorities
- Provide analysis, commentary and insight around the interpretation and implications of the data and metrics, (providing the “so what?”) for the key stakeholders to take action & optimize the omnichannel business levers
- Discover & communicate wine & spirits data-driven category and portfolio insights to create incremental digital merchandising and promotions within a retailer’s eCommerce channel(s) – 1st Party and 3rd Party Marketplaces
- Influence the evolution of and integrate eCommerce into key cross-functional processes within Constellation’s sales strategy & route-to-market to help Constellation best commercialize to the digital shelf
- Advocate and evangelize emerging digital, technology and shopping trends with National Sales Teams and key account contacts
- Aid in selling new and expanded distribution of Constellation Brands Wine & Spirits portfolio to key retailers
- Promote digital development & change management within the Commercial Sales Organization
- Learn, develop & implement catalog management best practices with eCommerce Catalog, including SEO, Content Optimization, and Taxonomy
- Partner with eCommerce Category Leadership to influence the trajectory of new learning tools and sell stories
- Management and Operations team to ensure we have the best-in-class digital footprint
- Manage budget allocations, ROI, and other financial responsibilities. Execute against account plans and retail budget in order to maximize set sales goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent job experience in the consumer products industry
- Demonstrated strategy and leadership capabilities to develop plans and achieve results
- A minimum of 12 years related experience, preferably with a sales emphasis in the CPG or beverage alcohol industry
- A strong understanding of category management is required and how to create insights-based sales narratives based on syndicated and panel data (IRI, Numerator)
- Proven track record in building good relationships with retail customers, internal associates, and wholesalers
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to gather and use customer feedback to identify customer and market needs and challenges
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- The ability to engage and to collaborate creatively and respectfully to build a high-performance team and culture; have a “yes and” mindset that drives global, enterprise value
- Ability to travel a minimum of 20% of his/her working time, including up to 5 hours driving time.
- A willingness to try something new, to fail, and to learn from it.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry or in CPG
- Sales experience calling on eCommerce accounts (e.g. Amazon), National Accounts, or managing 3rd party marketplaces (e.g. Instacart, Drizly, Amazon etc)
- Experience across Retail Media Networks, D2C, Shopify, Digital or Shopper Marketing
- Digital or eCommerce experience

The salary range for this role is:
$137,500.00 - $224,300.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
